It goes without saying that the best time to sell something to a customer is when they are visiting your taproom or brewpub and looking for something to eat or drink.  There are two good ways to accomplish this:

A – Make personal recommendations   Whenever a patron isn’t asking for a particular brew, why not make a recommendation of new beers or entrees that they should try.  Nothing works better than a friendly suggestion from the owner or an employee as to what is interesting and worth a taste.  If it’s a beer perhaps a complimentary 2 oz. taste is all it will take to get them to order a 20oz. stein.  Come up with a new pizza recipe?  Bake one up and cut it into small bite-sized squares and walk around the taproom offering samples.  You are certain to get some takers willing to put in an order for one of their own.

B – In-house advertising   Short of a personal recommendation the next best alternative to get a patron in a buying mood it to provide visual stimulus by means of a series of in-house advertising pieces.  Whenever you want to give a new beer a new food item good sendoff, consider ordering one of our in-house advertising packages.    Pick a package that best suits your need or order individual items ala-cart.
